I won't take any chances with it. I seen Whoopi Goldberg complain about it on the view. I made the switch to apple from windows years ago because I was fired from a great job at Citigroup in NY because me & a team of IT guys could not get windows to open up our bosses presentation at a huge meeting. I need my phone to work all the time. I cannot afford to lose my job.

Well done Langer!
I think a wash-out will be a real disappointment. I can handle a draw in an earlier test but not a decider.

anything than this cheap aluminum!!! there is a dent on my 2011 MacBook and I don't know where it came from. I had a blackbook for almost six years and no scratches or dents.

Not even sure how much benefit the second core confers in an application like office anyway. What it means is that the top of the range mac now available runs the application as well as the same place/priced machine from 1 year ago, make of that what you will.
Here's my reckoning.
It's running an application that was never built to run on X86 processors at comparable speeds to the processors on which the program was built to run.
That's damned impressive if you ask me. Even before when it was slow it was still amazing to me, especially after the deathly slow experience that was Virtual PC on the Mac. Sure, it was emulating an entire OS but the decrease in speed was massive - a 2GHz G5 became a 733MHz PIII under Virtual PC...

The price needs to be $.99 to $1.99 for each issue. I can get Men's Health in mailed to my house for $14.99 for 10 issues. Why does each iPad issue cost so much!

Wow! That couple needs some serious marriage counseling. Hopefully, they can work out their issues and get back to a healthy marriage.

... well, that seals it. I'm on my way to the Apple store now.
I was skeptical of the 78 other "True iPod by [INSERT DATE HERE]" posts, but this one seems to have legs. So much so that it inspired my first post.

Well, on a 256kbps stream (not sure if the music would get re-encoded or if the service would allow you to select bitrate) you would use about 112.5 MB per hour of streaming. If you had a 30 minute commute each way to work, you are looking at (roughly) going over your allowance in a month (AT&T USA) without any other data usage. (60 mins x 20 days = 2,250MB ).
I'm not sure this is sustainable unless the telecom providers stop putting small data caps on usage...
That is quite the assumption. Logic would suggest they would transcode your music (or give the option at least) to something like 32-64 Kbps when using 3G / 4G.
So let's say you're right, and it streams at some lower kbps. So this service would offer you the ability to hear degraded music... when you have internet access... And it'll use up your monthly data (assuming it's 3G rather than wifi).
This is better than an iPod/iPhone... How? Or not even better -- this is a useful supplement how?
I just really don't get it. You give up control, bit rate, and independence from the Internet and get...?

Oh well, there's a phone for everyone. At least Android fills the gap.
Exactly. I'm by no means saying Android is superior. It has tons of issues; it's no where near perfect. But it works for me.

If some of the components come from Japan, is Apple scanning the finished units for radiation? I'm not saying but I'm just saying...
Check out www.theregister.com for some articles that provide a bit of sanity to that issue. If you are afraid of radiation then you should insist that your iPad is transported by ship and not by aeroplane, because it gets much more exposure to radiation while in the air.

Just weight an MBA 13, and figure out why it weighs more and costs more.
And if you shrunk the bezel while still using a standard sized display (same cost), the keyboard would stick out the sides, which would look pretty whacky.
I was pretty clear that I wanted a bezel shrink to accommodate a larger screen not to have a smaller laptop.

If I'm on a wifi network outside of my house, does my Mac need to be turned on and not in sleep mode at home in order for this to work? Can the Elgato device be turned on while the computer is off? (I don't have one of these, but have been considering getting one).
I'm not sure of details about how this stuff works (though I do have the Elgato USB device) yet. But doubt this works if the Mac is off because the USB device requires a running OS for it to read data off the TV connection and process it.
I can say for sure the Elgato stuff is solid on my MBP and works well. Looking forward to seeing it serving as a proxy for my iPhone.

For not much more you could have a Mercedes SLK.
Your solution to the "ugly" Volt is an SLK? I've seen maybe 3 of the 2004-2010 models on the road, whereas I used to see at least one pre-04 model a week. It sure wasn't the performance that caused the dropoff.
edit: can actually anybody come up with a more ugly car than the juke without the Aztek or a SangYong ? honestly i'm hard pressed
Buick Rendezvous, Nissan Cube, post-03 Maxima, 2011 Acura TL, 2001 Toyota Sienna, and so on.
Not that the Juke isn't ugly.

Anybody else here old enough to remember the Titanium PowerBook? Maybe you recall that the shell was made from titanium and carbon fibre - painted carbon fibre? No new news here.

Just be very careful. Continue proper hygiene. The erythematous tissue at your temple is very evident. Meaning red with slight swelling. Just be careful there are a lot of blood vessels in the area and it can be serious.
Im a hypochondriac, so I am keeping a close eye on it. so far no noticable blood or other discharge, a small bit of stuff was noticed in the water after the last salt water soak (probably a small amount of puss), keeping a watch on my temperature, swelling...
I was given Provon Medicated Soap with Chloroxylenol (anti-Microbial), at Pierce Ink

Taking Advil, Multi-vitamins, Amino Acid Sups, Drinking plenty of water, currently icing the area.
First sign somehitng is going wrong, the piercing is out .

Piercings and tattoos have been related to childhood trauma (mental).
I know that is not all true, some people just like to do it. Do you think that is true?
Don't think those cosmetic lasers will get those tattoos off. You'll have to have it done many times and it will leave scarring. A lot of people think that you can just laser them off, but it is really only to a point.
